Please check the demo.it is high speed pulse input. Different high speed counter is controled by different X port. Hi
Can you tell how can I switch on high speed input counter? Did I have increment of C235 when reset M8235, set C235 and have signal on X0 with frequency 500Hz?

Dear tysha, Please check the document,there is a picture about high speed counter control by X port.Different high speed counter control by different X port. M8235=0,the C235 is add counter.if M8235=1,C235 is subtract counter. X0----X6 support high speed pulse input.X0 and X1 upto 200K HZ.X2----X5 upto 10K HZ. If the speed is not so quick.I suggest you to use normal counter.500HZ is high speed pulse input.   |

X port is external input.So you need provide X port with the DC24V power.
If S/S connect DC24V+.The X need connect DC24- to input.
If S/S connect DC24V-.The X need connect DC24+ to input.

i'm trying to work with an A/B encoder and using the C251 counter but I have problems, sometimes the plc don't read the encoder phases or it stopped while the encoder is working. I can see the inputs x0 and x1 flashing when the encoder is working, but the counter into the plc is not counting.

You said sometimes. So C251 could count,but only sometimes can not count. I think maybe your encoder is broken.or port connect not well.  |

I have problem. Why hsc not working? I use X0 and c235 and when X1 in Simulator is active, the counter c235 dont rise up a counting value
